aFe Intake and Exhaust on an EcoBoost F-150
Published by the BCB Team | June 2022
We installed the aFe Momentum GT cold air intake and aFe MACH Force-XP cat-back exhaust on a 2019 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost and put it on our dyno. Here are the results.
aFe Momentum GT Cold Air Intake
The Momentum GT uses a sealed airbox with a 7-layer progressive filter. On our dyno, the intake alone produced a gain of 8 WHP and 12 lb-ft over the stock airbox. More importantly, intake air temperatures dropped by 15°F under sustained load — a significant benefit for turbocharged engines.
aFe MACH Force-XP Cat-Back Exhaust
The cat-back exhaust added another 6 WHP and 10 lb-ft. The combination of both mods yielded 14 WHP and 22 lb-ft — respectable gains for bolt-on parts without a tune change.
With a BCB Custom Tune
Adding our Stage 1 tune to the equation brought the total to 62 WHP and 85 lb-ft over stock. The tune was able to take advantage of the improved airflow from both mods, increasing boost pressure and optimizing fueling for the new flow characteristics.
