We STRONGLY RECOMMEND running a fresh set of plugs on every tuned Saab. We advise our tuned customers to run the NGK plugs gaped to 0.9mm-1.0mm. They are a heat range colder than stock, compatible with the on-board knock detection system, and much cheaper than iridium plugs, they can be ordered here.

If you also decide to get an optional core, simply return it (or the stock ECU) to us within 2 weeks of receipt and we will refund your $100 core fee. If you would like to keep the ECU that is fine too.

Trionic 7(T7) ECU Upgrade Guidelines for 9-5 lpt B235E (1999-2007)

Stage 1: 250 ft-lbs and 230 hp

  • +40 ft-lbs Torque
  • +45 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: There are no hardware requirements for this Stage 1 ECU Upgrade.

Stage 2: 265 ft-lbs and 240 hp

  • +55 ft-lbs Torque
  • +55 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: An intake modification is required for this Stage 2 ECU Upgrade. A qualifying modification could be an open intake or even a drop in free flow filter.

Stage 3: 285 ft-lbs and 265-hp

  • +75 ft-lbs Torque
  • +70 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: A 3″ downpipe, aftermarket catback (2.5 min), and an intake modification are all required for this Stage 3 ECU Upgrade. An upgraded intercooler and full 3″ turboback exhaust are suggested but not required.

Trionic 7 (T7) ECU Upgrade Guidelines for 9-5 Aero B235R (1999-2001)

Stage 1: 300 ft-lbs and 270 hp

  • +40 ft-lbs Torque
  • +40 Horsepower 
  • Hardware Requirements:There are no hardware requirements for this Stage 1 ECU Upgrade. 

Stage 2: 310 ft-lbs and 275 hp 

  • +50 ft-lbs Torque
  • +45 Horsepower 
  • Hardware Requirements: An intake modification is required for this Stage 2 ECU Upgrade. A qualifying modification could be an open intake or even a drop in free flow filter.

Stage 3: 330 ft-lbs and 290 hp

  • +80 ft-lbs Torque
  • +60 Horsepower 
  • Hardware Requirements: A 3″ downpipe, aftermarket catback (2.5 min), intake modification, and a 3.5 bar Fuel Pressure Regulator are all required for this Stage 3 ECU Upgrade. An upgraded intercooler and full 3″ turboback exhaust are suggested but not required. 

Trionic 7 (T7) ECU Upgrade Guidelines for 9-5 Aero/Arc B235R/L (2002-2005)

Stage 1: 300 ft-lbs and 275 hp

  • +30 ft-lbs Torque
  • +25 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: There are no hardware requirements for this Stage 1 ECU Upgrade. 

Stage 2: 310 ft-lbs and 280 hp

  • +40 ft-lbs Torque
  • +30 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: An intake modification is required for this Stage 2 ECU Upgrade. A qualifying modification could be an open intake or even a drop in free flow filter. 

Stage 3: 340 ft-lbs and 295 hp

  • +70 ft-lbs Torque
  • +45 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: A 3″ downpipe, aftermarket catback (2.5 min), intake modification, and a 3.5 bar Fuel Pressure Regulator are all required for this Stage 3 ECU Upgrade. An upgraded intercooler and full 3″ turboback exhaust are suggested but not required. 

Trionic 7 (T7) ECU Upgrade Guidelines for 9-5 Aero B235R (2006-2009)

Stage 1: 300 ft-lbs and 280 hp

  • +40 ft-lbs Torque
  • +20 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: There are no hardware requirements for this Stage 1 ECU Upgrade. 

Stage 2: 310 ft-lbs and 285 hp

  • +50 ft-lbs Torque
  • +25 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: An intake modification is required for this Stage 2 ECU Upgrade. A qualifying modification could be an open intake or even a drop in free flow filter.

Stage 3: 340 ft-bs and 300 hp

  • +80 ft-lbs Torque
  • +40 Horsepower
  • Hardware Requirements: A 3″ downpipe, aftermarket catback (2.5 min), intake modification, and a 3.5 bar Fuel Pressure Regulator are all required for this Stage 3 ECU Upgrade. An upgraded intercooler and full 3″ turboback exhaust are suggested but not required.

Typical processing times for mailed in ECU tuning is 3-4 business days. 

This tuning product is not compatible with manual boost controllers. Notify us of all modifications prior to tuning.
