Brew City Boost’s Commitment to Emissions Compliance

BCB is committed to meeting the EPA’s requirements for tuning products, sales will not occur without some form of Reasonable Basis for the sale of that particular tuning product. Pursuant to this commitment BCB will not in any way, method, or manner manufacture, sell, offer for sale, or install any part or component that bypasses, defeats, or renders inoperative any element of design of an OBD system. For the gas-powered vehicles that we work with, this typically applies to catalysts, pcv systems, and evap systems.  We are maintaining and continuing our stance of zero potential for those systems to be altered via our tuning products. The OBD system requirements is just one side of our approach to this commitment to emissions compliance.

Additionally, each vehicle platform will receive necessary formal testing with the goal of receiving a CARB EO.  These tests are excessively time consuming and because of that some form of sound engineering justification will be required as our pre-compliance initiative to allow sales of these tuning products until the EO is received.  Below we have identified these tuning products based on the breakdown of vehicles and the milestones at which they currently reside in our testing process.

2017-2020 F150 Raptor & Limited – 3.5 EcoBoost High Output (GEN2 Raptor) – CARB EO received.

2017-2020 F150 – 3.5 EcoBoost (GEN2 35EB) – CARB EO received.

2018-2020 – F150 – 2.7 EcoBoost (GEN2 27EB) – CARB EO received.

2015-2016 F150 – 3.5 EcoBoost (GEN1 35EB) – CARB EO received.

2015-2016 F150 – 2.7 EcoBoost (GEN1 27EB) – CARB EO received.

2011-2013 F150 – 3.5 EcoBoost (GEN1 35EB 11-14) – Reasonable Basis established.

BCB does not sell any products or services for use in the state of California on any emission-controlled motor vehicle. Even though a CARB EO is the goal, all sales to CA will remain prohibited.
