Mail-in ECU tuning service for 1994-1998 Saab 900 and 9000 Turbo models with the Trionic 5 engine management system. Required physical chip reprogramming.
The T5 ECU used a Motorola 68332 processor with a removable EPROM chip. Our tuning process involved desoldering the factory chip, reading the stock calibration, modifying the maps in our proprietary software, burning the new calibration to a replacement chip, and soldering it back in place.
T5 tuning was the service that started Brew City Boost back in 2008 when our founder began modifying his own 1997 Saab 900 Turbo in his Milwaukee garage.
